How I can help

Everyday technology — made simpler.

A phone question, a printer that won’t connect, an unfamiliar app: we can work through different problems during the same visit, starting with what matters most to you. I help with the equipment, Wi-Fi and accounts you actually use at home, explaining things clearly and giving you time to practise. Simple personalised notes will help you remember what we cover.

Everyday technology

Phones, iPads, Android tablets, laptops, email, printers, Wi-Fi, smart TVs, Alexa, WhatsApp, FaceTime, photos and more.

About Pip-PA

A more personal alternative to a helpdesk

Pip-PA is built around a simple idea: many people are perfectly independent, but modern technology can make ordinary tasks unnecessarily difficult.

When you contact Pip-PA, you speak to me, Pippa, and I’m the person who comes to help. If you book again, you’ll see the same person, so we can build on what we’ve already covered and my familiarity with your setup.

I’m Pippa, and I live in Stow-on-the-Wold. Now that both my children are at university, I’m putting the experience I’ve gained helping my parents and in-laws navigate the digital world to wider use. I’ve seen how much difference friendly, patient support can make.

I offer individually tailored sessions in your own home, with time to ask questions and practise on your own devices, at your own pace. My skills cover a wide range of everyday technology and practical digital tasks, so please ask about anything you need help with, even if it isn’t mentioned here.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be good with technology already?

Not at all. The service is designed to be patient and straightforward. You do not need to know the right technical words before calling.

Can we cover more than one problem?

Yes. Bring your list of questions and we’ll agree where to start. We can work through different tasks in the same visit, as time allows. I’ll discuss any extra time and cost with you before continuing.

Will I see the same person each time?

Yes. You’ll deal directly with me, Pippa, from your first enquiry through to your home visits. Returning visits build on what we’ve already covered.

Can you help with something that isn’t listed?

Please ask. My skills are wide ranging and the services listed are examples. Describe what you need and I’ll let you know whether I can help.

Can you access my online banking?

I can help you navigate technology and official bank channels while you remain in control. I do not retain banking passwords or PINs and I do not make financial decisions or transactions for clients.

Do you repair broken computers?

I can help diagnose many everyday problems and resolve software, setup and connectivity issues. If specialist hardware repair is required, I can help identify the appropriate next step.

Can you help me after the visit?

Get in touch if you need further help. We can discuss the next step and arrange another home visit if needed.

Are you a care agency?

No. Pip-PA provides everyday tech support at clients’ homes. It does not provide personal care, clinical care or emergency response services.
